London residential property developer Anthology gave its Deptford and Hoxton construction sites a sprinkling of pink in the name of the national Breast Cancer Now campaign, Wear it Pink Day, raising an impressive £1,200 for the charity.

For the second year in a row, Anthology teamed up with partners and contractors on its Deptford Foundry and Hoxton Press sites with the Anthology, Wates Construction and Sisk teams dressing in their best pink attire and pink high-visibility jackets to take part in the fundraising.

A pink-themed cake sale and ‘how many sweets in the jar’ competition was hosted, as well as a fine being administered for those not dressed in pink – all of which helped to contribute to the impressive total reached by Anthology and the workforce across the two developments.

Meanwhile, back at Anthology HQ, the team were also dressed in their best pink outfits to enjoy some baked goods, including an impressive showstopper cake from Assistant Operations Manager, Georgia.

Amber Pointer, Head of Marketing at Anthology, said: “We were very excited to support the Wear it Pink Day cause for the second year running, and were hugely impressed by the efforts made not only by the Anthology team, but the Wates and Sisk teams as well. This is an amazing cause that we are proud to do our bit to support – tens of thousands of women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year and I know I speak on behalf of the entire business when I say how proud we are to be raising money to help Breast Cancer Now in its mission to reducing this number.”

Since its inception in 2002 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Wear it Pink campaign has raised a huge £30.1 million and is working with the help of those involved all over the UK and Ireland to raise enough money to ensure that no one dies from breast cancer by 2050.

Jim Watts, Project Director at Wates Construction said: “Anyone who passed by the Hoxton Press development on Wear it Pink Day would have been witness to the small army of pink on site – it was great to see the entire team getting involved and doing their bit to support this wonderful cause. We raised an impressive amount last year and were proud to do the same this year. We would like to thank everyone present on the day who got involved and donated for this amazing cause.”

Anthology is creating homes in key London locations in zones 1 and 2, with its Deptford Foundry and Hoxton Press developments, which are currently under construction and due for completion in 2018. Anthology is continuing to expand its London portfolio with coming soon sites in Wembley and Tottenham.
