Welcome to the March edition of The Anthology, providing our neighbours with helpful information and updates for our Hoxton Press Project, on Bridport Place and Penn Street.
Works continue to progress well. Wates have finished the ground floor concrete slab, meaning that the basement is structurally complete. The outer walls of the towers have started to rise above the hoarding, giving a good representation of their overall size. Mono Tower is up to the second floor with Duo on the third.
At the end of March, there will be an increase in activity on site with a number of new trades starting. Wates will begin to install the brickwork panels, glazing and bathroom pods. Once these elements begin to come together, it will give everyone a preview of how the finished façade on the towers will look.
Other various works such as the installation of the core staircases will also continue. The final point to note on site is the new welfare cabins are being positioned on the south-west corner. The size of the facilities has been increased to cater for the rising number of workmen on site.
Make sure you regularly view the Wates notice board at the far northern end of Bridport Place for more updates.
January saw the opening of our marketing suite, situated on the corner of Penn Street and Bridport Place. We encourage anyone who wants to find out more about the project to pop in and have a look around! Prior to the official launch weekend, we offered residents a sneak peek of the marketing suite. It was encouraging to hear so many positive comments on the look of the development. It was also great to have a catch up and meet some new faces from the Colville Estate.
On behalf of the entire project team at Hoxton Press we would like to thank you for your ongoing patience and co-operation.
