Summer is officially in full swing, and hopefully the sun is here to stay!

What better place to make the most of the longer, warmer days than Deptford with its array of cool eateries, bars and artistic charm.

With so much to choose from, we’ve pulled together a guide to our ideal summer Sunday in Deptford:

Grab a bite at Isla Ray

Start the day with a stroll down Deptford High Street to visit one of our favourite eateries, Isla Ray. Here you can choose from a delicious selection of breakfasts, our favourite is the Isla Special, the sriracha crème fraiche is incredible!

Chart a path around art and architecture

Grab a coffee to go and take a stroll around, make sure to pass St Paul’s Church, a stunning example of 18th Century Baroque architecture. There is also plenty of art and sculptures to spot around the streets including our very own Green Man at our Deptford Foundry development!

Explore the market

Head over to Deptford Market Yard for a spot of shopping amongst the independent shops. Make sure to have a peek in The English Flowerhouse at the beautiful array of flowers, perhaps you could treat yourself to a stunning bouquet?

Fancy some cinema?

If you’re then after some afternoon entertainment to enjoy, Deptford Cinema is a must visit. This not-for-profit venue is a community destination and art gallery with a busy schedule of films and activities to choose from.

Top it off with Tapas

Finally, for the perfect wind down and end to the weekend head over to The Tapas Room for a tasty selection of tapas and wine. Every Sunday from 2-8pm through the summer the restaurant is open hosting its #SummerSundays where you can enjoy all the usual delectable treats under the sun.
