Looking for ways to fill your Easter bank holiday weekend? With four glorious days (apparently the weather’s going to be pretty good too!) for relaxing, eating and treating yourself, we’ve pulled together a guide to all things Easter in and around Hoxton to give you some inspiration for your bank holiday weekend plans!

Good Friday

Fancy something other than chocolate Easter eggs and roast dinners? At Ballie Ballersonyou can throw it back to your childhood by playing around in a ball pit! After that play around, a bottomless brunch of pizza, prosecco and pornstar martinis will then help boost your energy levels!

If ball pits and prosecco aren’t your thing then Hoxton Square bar & kitchen is hosting its usual garageoke night but with an Easter twist, we’re not sure how garage music and Easter mix but we’d definitely like to find out!

After partying the night away you’ll need a hearty, healthy breakfast to kick start your Saturday.

Taking inspiration from the Andes and perfectly combining Peruvian ingredients with local British produce you can enjoy a variety of unique and fresh brunch plates at Andina, Shoreditch. We particularly like the sound of the Peruvian corn cake, avocado, huancaina sauce and poached egg (keeping with an Easter theme), especially when all washed down with a Bloody Mary cocktail!

Afterwards take a stroll through to Brick Lane and treat yourself, family or friends to some last minute indulgent Easter chocolate from Dark Sugars, with a unique variety of indulgent truffles to choose from you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Easter Sunday

If you’re looking for an alternative way to spend your Easter Sunday then the Strongroom Bar is hosting it’s Easter Sunday Funday with a variety of sports games, including an egg and spoon race, live music, DJs and a BBQ!

For those with family visiting or with young children, spend your Easter afternoon at Hackney City Farm. The Farm offers the opportunity to get up close to a range of farmyard animals and, you can even purchase fresh eggs in the shop too – perfect for your bank holiday breakfast!

Bank holiday Monday

Start your morning with a run around the Green Flag awarded Shoreditch park to burn off the Easter roast and chocolate! Then make the most of the extra day off work with an afternoon stroll down Regents canal. With plentiful cafes and pubs to stop for an afternoon treat including The Towpath Café, with seats along the canal you can watch the word go by over your favourite coffee.
