Bonfire Bonanzas across the Boroughs

‘Remember remember the 5th November’ - Bonfire Night is just around the corner and as ever London will be staging some of the best displays you’ll see to light up the skies across the Boroughs.

To make the most of the most this explosive and colourful night, we’ve shared a roundup of where you can go to for your nearest and most epic spectacular show nearby our developments:

Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival

Ally Pally, one of London’s most famous displays, has been going for 150 years so they know a thing or two about fireworks! Residents nearby our Hale Works development and surrounding areas can take full advantage of the Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival on 1st and 2nd November. Tickets are available online with an early bird offer of £9.50. From Tottenham, take the underground to Finsbury Park and then the W3 bus will take you up to Ally Pally. With a lazer show, fireworks, a German beer festival and circus, Family Area Festival Tent and StrEATlife Village, both offering good food to enjoy as well as comedy, activities and music on show this is one not to miss.

Newham Guy Fawkes Night

Newham Guy Fawkes night on Saturday 2nd November is set to thrill visitors to Newham’s annual fireworks event which is also free and boasts a traditional night of fireworks, food and fairground rides. The theme this year is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The display is accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack and there’ll be loads of other entertainment. Gates open at 5:30pm and the fireworks usually begin at 7:30pm. The event will take place at Silvertown Quays at the Royal Docks off North Woolich Road.

Blackheath Fireworks

Blackheath Fireworks is another of the capital’s major displays that’s still free and for those living in Deptford it’s well worth the short walk to New Cross and the train ride to Blackheath. On Saturday 2nd November, join the crowds of up to 100,000 for its all-day Guy Fawkes bash. Colourful fairground rides take over the heath from midday, food and drink stalls open at 5pm and the fireworks kick-off at 8pm. Don’t miss a wander through Blackheath Village, where the celebrations spill out into the streets.

Victoria Park Fireworks

Victoria Park Fireworks on Saturday 3rd November from 7pm is another of the few remaining free fireworks events in London and is a hop and a skip from those living at our Deptford Foundry development and nearby areas. Enjoy an autumn stroll along the Kingsland towpath to the hour-long event which is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. There will be mulled wine to keep you warm or stop off on your way back at Howl at the Moon for a cocktail and Burger!

Light up the night at Wembley Park

A week later and Wembley residents get to join in the fun with Wembley Park Firework Display at Wembley Park on 10th November, a ten-minute walk from our Wembley Parade development.
