With the most wonderful time of the year just around the corner, we have been counting down the days until we can break out the carols! This year there are still plenty of ways in which to embrace the festive spirit in and around Deptford, home to our Deptford Foundry community.
South East London will be providing plenty of festive cheer in the form of takeaway mulled wine and picking the perfect tree to decorate! We have selected a few of our favourite festive activities:

Always fancied chopping down your very own Christmas Tree? On Cloud Pine are allowing you to do exactly that! Found in South East London, On Cloud Pine are offering their customers booked time slots in which to select the perfect tree to decorate this Christmas. Mistletoe and Wine
Head over to Isla Ray, a tropical themed café and bar with a Mexican twist, for some warming mulled wine offered on their new takeaway menu.
Located right on Deptford Highstreet, their takeout menu is available every Wednesday to Saturday offering a selection of breads, coffee, pastries, sandwiches and bagels. To help get in the festive mood we highly recommend trying the selection of mulled wine and ciders.
Sparkle in the Park
For those of you that are Deptford locals, step into Christmas at an enchanting after-dark trail lighting up Avery Hill Park this winter. Run by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, local residents are invited to book tickets to Sparkle in the Park, a magical wonderland bringing Christmas cheer to the whole family. Open from 12th to 20th December, discover the nutcracker trail with hidden letters for you to collect as you stroll through the fairy lit trees. Collect all the letters to spell a festive word and win a prize. Don’t forget to wear your wellies!
Free for all local residents, the gates open at 4pm, last entry into the event is at 7:45pm.
