#HaleYeah - Tottenham Hale is coming alive again

Tottenham Hale is home to so many great eateries and pubs, cafes and bars, many of which have been closed over the past few months. As we head past July 4, many are reopening their doors and welcoming back their customers. Here’s a roundup of some of our favourites that the neighbourhood and visitors to the area have to look forward to:

One of the best markets in London

Tottenham Green Market, held at Town Hall Approach, is reopening from July 12 from 11am to 4pm. For now, the market will take place as a monthly food a drink event, on the second Sunday of each month. There will be the usual mix of the best quality food and drink offering street food, artisan, organic, vegan, local produce and craft beer but just with measures in place. The market will continue to offer the weekly online Shopping list for the traders, so you can still order during the month and even collect at the market. Plus, now you can go along and support the traders on the second Sunday of each month at the bumper reopened market.

Delicious dining in Lee Valley

The Ferry Boat Inn is reopening so, you can put your recipe books back on the shelf. The traditional family friendly pub with a fantastic beer garden has recently started to welcome back its customers. There are some changes to ensure everyone can enjoy their visit safely, including a new app, so that you can order without leaving your table, and some small changes to their menus. Don't worry, apparently you will still be able to enjoy all of your pub favourites!

Are you craving a great coffee?

Located in Markfield Road, Craving Coffee is the effortlessly cool café founded by locals Matt and Rachel Ho and has been serving the people of Tottenham since 2014 when it was originally based from a mobile cart. It’s been gradually reopening, for takeaway coffee and treats and most recently head chef Louis returned as the kitchen reopened with extended hours Thurs-Sun 10am-3pm. There will be a refined but delicious takeaway menu to add to the drinks and provisions but watch this space as they continue to work towards a safe and cautious full reopening. In the meantime, go support this fantastic local eatery!

The Taproom has reopened!

If you’ve been missing your locally brewed IPA’s and ales then Beavertown Brewery’s new opening hours are Saturday 12-9pm and Sunday 12-6pm. Things will be a bit different as the taproom will now be operating more like a restaurant, as opposed to the old taproom bar style service, to ensure everyone can enjoy your long-awaited pints within the new government guidelines. Takeaway will be available during the new opening hours, queue outside Unit 2 on the left or you can order your cans beforehand via click and collect.

Try out a drive through movie

Drive in cinemas are popping up all over London and Haringey residents can take advantage of their nearest drive in at The Drive In in Upper Edmonton. Along with a great selection of film favourites, including Rocketman and Pulp Fiction, there will be range of classic cinema snacks on offer from Nanny Bills, think classic cheeseburger or cheesy fries. Look out for Comedy Nights and Horrible Histories too!
