#HaleYeah: Your top instagrammable hotspots in Tottenham

It’s safe to say we live in a truly digital era. A time where 4 out of 5 UK adults have a smartphone and an impressive 40% of millennials choose a travel destination based on its ‘Instagrammability’.

London is a city known for its picturesque cafes, landmarks and streets - and the neighbourhood of Tottenham Hale is no exception. We’ve highlighted our favourite Instagram-worthy destinations in the area that you should really consider checking out if you want to increase your social clout!

Tottenham Marshes

The Tottenham Marshes became part of the Lee Valley Park in 1972 and covers an impressive 100 acres.

A haven for a variety of wildlife species, you can step out for a gentle stroll or cycle on miles of paths – keep an eye out for Kingfishers, Field Voles and Bee Orchids as you go. With so many walking and cycling routes to choose from, Tottenham Marshes is a nature photographers paradise! All within a tube ride from the city.

Craving Coffee

Not just a destination for a pretty picture. This cool coffee shop is an independent family owned business in Tottenham, and was founded by local residents Matt & Rachel Ho. The hot spot serves food and drink made from ethically sourced ingredients, and where they can, from locally sourced artisan suppliers!

Each month the café plays host to art exhibitions showing off the works from the local creative community. With this in mind, Craving Coffee aims to bring local people, products and passion together to deliver the best experience possible for their customers.

Walthamstow Wetlands

Another nature park but one you should definitely take time out to visit and snap!

This Park is over 500 acres of nature reserve and is of great importance to wildlife due to its position within the Lee Valley. As a byway for migrating, wintering and breeding birds in the Greater London area, you’re sure to spot a variety of different wildlife throughout the year, perfect for an Instagram post or two.

It’s currently one of the largest urban wetland nature reserves in Europe and visitors can freely access the site’s natural, industrial and social heritage in one of the capital’s most diverse and densely populated urban areas.

Tottenham Green Market

Tottenham Green Market takes place every Sunday and prides itself on being a local event.

Celebrating the diverse street food, produce, drink, crafts & vintage from the local area and beyond - each week is full of things to do. If you can’t find something here that’s worth a photo - we’d be surprised.

If you’d like to live in an area with a strong community atmosphere and beautiful destinations close by, Tottenham Hale may just be for you.
